I pray these words meet you with the peace of our Savior, Jesus.
He is named Jehovah-Shalom. When you became a believer in Jesus He gave you His name. It was given to you to cover your own name… in peace. Shalom means nothing missing and nothing broken (literally peace, prosperity, and wholeness). Whatever was broken in you was covered with the Name Shalom.
Broken heart now wrapped in love’s fabric…
Broken connection with Yahweh, your loving God, now restored perfectly…
Broken dreams or expectations now behind you and eternal hope is ahead of you…
Broken natural joy now replaced with spiritual joy. The same joy that Jesus shares with The Father.
Our own completeness is now found in Him [JESUS]. We are completely filled with God as Christ’s fullness overflows within us. Colossians 2:10 TPT
We are not responsible for appearing before God complete. It is not our perfect performance that is required. We do not “carry” ourselves over to Him.
Take a deep breath. All the pressure that you are feeling to do better can be released in one moment. Let this be that moment. Remember the work of the cross. He paid the price. He paid in full. He absorbed the debt completely and now the separation sin created is no more. Jesus pulled you into union with Himself. This was God’s perfect plan and this was the purpose Jesus fulfilled. It is finished. Our work on earth is to hear, receive, and fully believe all the life-promises Almighty God has given us access to through Jesus. You can rest in everything Jesus has already wrapped you into…
I am contending for you that your hearts will be wrapped in the comfort of heaven and woven together into love’s fabric. This will give you access to all the riches of God as you experience the revelation of God’s great mystery—Christ. For our spiritual wealth is in Him, like hidden treasure waiting to be discovered—-heaven’s wisdom and the endless riches of revelation knowledge. Colossians 2:2-3 TPT
Just this morning my 24 year old son shared this beautiful interaction he had in prayer. He said he was thanking God for the blessings he was experiencing in life. He saw that childhood dreams were unfolding before his eyes. He asked God to bless him with wisdom. He said this was something he often asked the Lord. The Spirit stopped him and in that moment he realized that instead of asking for the gift of wisdom he could access God’s wisdom. It was his position as a believer, joined to Jesus, to have God’s own wisdom. He was connected to the source of wisdom. He then asked for more understanding of what was available to him everyday.
First of all, can you ask for anything more in your children than a relationship with the perfect Protector, Provider, and Friend? Thank you, Jesus! Second, I was being taught by the Spirit to really look hard at my own life and access all that He has already given me through Jesus…and see where I do it on my own.
He has rescued us completely from the tyrannical rule of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom realm of His beloved Son. Colossians 1:13 TPT
The word translated in the scripture above means “to carry over”. Jesus carried us over. We had to disengage from the world and its cultural definition of being a good person. We had to let go of what we could carry on our own. We had to release our own ability to “help ourselves”…an inadequate reservoir. We had to relax and allow Him to carry us over to His Kingdom. We had to believe in what we could not see.
Where did He carry us over into? Heaven? Yes, but…Jesus did not come to only bring us into an eternal destination. He came to bring us into a position in the Kingdom of God. That position is joined to Him. Since the time He released His authority to His believers and then ascended into Heaven, His Kingdom is now established on earth. He has carried us over to His Kingdom on earth. If you want to know what is in the Kingdom of God on earth read the New Testament. Seriously! It is huge! Here is a taste:
We now live in His strength (Philippians 4:13), His wisdom (John 10:27), His joy (John 17:13), His holiness (2 Corinthians 5:21), His peace (John 14:26), His victory (Romans 8:37), His kindness (Hebrews 13:5), His love (1 John 4:10), His government (Matthew 28:18), His household (John 17:21-24), His favor (2 Corinthians 9:8)…don’t even get me started! We are clothed in His garment! We hold His sword of authority! We have the ear of the King! (Jot these scriptures down and search them…they will fill you with so much joy!)
Anything we can do apart from him must be left behind. It is not effective in the New Kingdom we live in.
One last word of encouragement…don’t turn on yourself in anger and shame. I can be my most merciless judge…how about you? I can push myself to perfection like a tyrant and place the highest standards on myself. I heard the Spirit correct me with this statement, “What a person does to herself (or himself) reveals their trust in Me.” Learn to trust God more.
Wisdom’s Guidance: Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on Him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Proverbs 3:5 TPT
Jesus is our example. He navigated the earth with only the compass of the voice of The Father. A voice of accusation that whispers, “You could have been a better Christian” is not the voice of The Father. Remember Jesus walked on the rough waters. He joyfully walked the storm with the voice of The Father filling Him with purpose. He also calmed the waters to be still at another time, also hearing the direction of His Father. He healed the multitudes in a moment and then when His close friend, Lazerus, fell ill He waited for The Father’s timing. The mark of a believer is having ears that hear the voice of God.
“The Holy Spirit is the One who gives life. The natural realm is no help. The Words I speak to you are Spirit and Life.”-JESUS. John 6:63 TPT
You were reborn to eat the bread of His Words and live a great life.
We (our hearts, our lives, our purpose) are clothed in His name. He has carried us over into His Kingdom. His words are heavier with truth than any other voice or reality.
Let’s pray this together: (From The Supernatural Prayer of Jesus by Chad Gonzales)
*God, thank You for Your infinite wisdom and for not giving up on Your plan. *Jesus, thank You for the sacrifice You made so I can be in union with You, the Father, and the Holy Spirit. I humbly accept who You made me to be. I ask You as the Head of the Church to help me see all that I am in You. *Holy Spirit, open my eyes and reveal to me the wonder of my union with the Godhead and all that was made available to me through this precious reality of union that was sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Until next time,
Praying for each one of you,
