I began Holy Spirit School at Christian Faith Campus at the start of 2025.
This is Session 8.
The Holy Spirit is the movement, maintaining the reality of our new creation life made available to us through Jesus Christ.
“We live and move and have our being in Him” Acts 17:28.
Can we commit the unpardonable sin, to blaspheme the Holy Spirit, mentioned by Jesus in Mark, chapter three? As believers in Jesus Christ we have been given the precious promise that we are placed in His right-standing before God. Through our believing we hold Jesus sacred therefore we hold the Holy Spirit as sacred.
We are in the center of God’s pleasure when we yield fully to His Spirit.
Revealing Himself to you is His joy and His delight. He is not accusing you today (Romans 8:1) but rather He is enjoying unfolding His Kingdom reality to you, today!
“Relax and rest, be confident and serene for the Lord rewards fully those who simply trust in Him” (Psalm 116:7)
How do the gifts of the Holy Spirit flow to you? First, they come from the secure connection you have with Jesus Christ. This is His promise to you: He is the vine and you are the branch…apart from Him you can do nothing (John 15). This means without Him there is no fruit, no gifts, and no life. Second, the revelation of the unconditional perfect LOVE of God must be real to you.
It is only in the deep river of His love flowing into you and out of your innermost being that His gifts can be deposited. Without a personal experience of the love of God the gifts fall flat.
What are the gifts? 1 Corinthians 12:3-13. His gifts carry life-giving promises as we minister to others. Our lives operating in His gifts glorify His grace (Ephesians 1:3-6).
What hinders the flow of the Spirit’s gifts? Your weakness? No. Paul teaches us our weakness becomes a portal to God’s power in 2 Corinthians 12:9.
There is a key answer to this question in what Jesus prays in John 17:10, “My glory is revealed through their surrendered lives.”
It is time for us to surrender the past, the pride, the personal vows, the wounded identity, the opinions…let them dissolve in the outpouring of His personal love for you. The love of God is poured into your heart through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5) and the gifts flow within it.
The Holy Spirit is doing a work in your heart and if you let Him, He is establishing a brand new reality.
Blessings,
Teresa
